This small, quaint diner was full of charm from the minute we walked in. Steel all over the place, identical booths streaming 2 rows down the length of the joint and slats of light from the roman blinds lining the walls.
Paul had a huge, fresh waffle with a side of hashbrowns and I had the paysenne omelet, both very good choices. Sadly, Harry wasn't with us to sample the fine offerings, but heres' what we thought:
The servers were friendly and a man who we assumed was the owner sits at the bar directing the crowd to tables. He, as well as the majority of patrons there, has his face halfway into a salmon platter (cream cheese, capers, smoked salmon, and bagels for about $11) but seems happy that his restaurant is full and bustling.
The food was fast and very fresh, and the paper placemats that are laid down at each table are ideal for gnarly morning doodles. You'll see when you get there.
A wonderful breakfast on a good day in Montreal was only made better by our stop to Beauty's. Why I didn't pick up one of their printed tees to commemorate the experience, I will never know.

I went there with my girl friend one saturday morning, there was a clueless old man sitting at the door, and his son, the owner. I ordered a 9$ piece of french toast, with sirup that had more water than maple in it, terrible, I ordered the eggs, disgusting, I ordered pancakes, and they crumbled in my fork, I asked for my money back for the pancakes…the waitress, who couldn’t have more than a 40 IQ walked to the owner…the owner and the extemely old man, looked at us together, with disgust, and shook their heads…waitress comes back, and says, “the pancakes are good, you can’t get your money back” disgusting attitude, disgusting service, and the worst breakfast I’ve had in over a decade. These guys won’t get away with this much longer. I left there disgusted, paying 50$ for the worst breakfast I’ve EVER eaten,
Everyone that goes there, hasn’t got a clue, they’re all over 60 and have no clue anymore what a good breakfast is...
SAVE YOUR MONEY.
These guys are crooks, hoping they’re old reputation sticks…
Save your time and money, these guys pray to rip off tourists and clueless regulars.

Me an my family had a holiday in Montreal and visited Beauty's diner several times and the food was great. We did get a lecture from a rude waitress about the correct way to tip for good service, which then became a contradiction in terms, it was quite amusing. The food was great and set us up for the day and we did go back but sat at a different table.
